About me
Nice to meet you!
I’m Giulia, a digital illustrator from northern Italy.
I use color and light to evoke emotions, creating images that feel both vivid and intimate. My work draws inspiration from many art forms: animation, concept art, films, TV shows, videogames, anime and manga. I aspire to one day become a concept artist for games or animation, where storytelling and visual atmosphere guide every design choice.
I studied professional illustration at Il Laboratorio Artistico with Carla F. Castagno, an international illustrator.
My process often starts with line and value sketches: I explore lighting scenarios and compositions before refining shapes and silhouettes. I prioritize clear forms, readable silhouettes, and emotional impact, balancing detail with strong visual clarity suited for concept work.
Styles I enjoy:
Painterly, atmospheric pieces that emphasize light and color
Stylized character designs with expressive poses
Environment concepts that suggest story and scale
Tools and techniques:
Digital painting with layered workflows
Photobashing and texture work when needed
Key softwares:
Adobe Photoshop
Clip Studio Paint
I’m open to collaboration and I’m currently seeking representation.
Thank you for stopping by!
